Women charged in scrap over money
SALEM — A Salem mother’s effort to help out another woman who needed a place to stay backfired badly, and now both women are facing criminal charges, police say. Kristine Lemieux, 32, had offered to let Jessica Fernandez, 25, stay in her family’s apartment at 32 Perkins St. after Fernandez was kicked out of the place she had been staying about two weeks ago, Lemieux’s family said.
